The BU School of Law delivers real-world learning to students combining clinics, internships, and externships with practical legal education, as well as critical intellectual thinking, reasoning, and written and oral communication skills needed to be a successful attorney in today's world. Students here benefit from small class and clinic sizes, with student/teacher ratios of 12:1 and 8:1, respectively. Choosing from nearly 150 courses, students design their own programs of study tailored to specific interests in one of five legal disciplines—Business Organizations and Finance, Health, International, Intellectual Property, or Litigation and Dispute Resolution. In addition, BU Law provides postgraduate legal education for both domestic and international attorneys leading to a Master of Laws degree.
